The HemoCue® Hb 801 System includes an analyzer and microcuvettes for the quantitative determination of hemoglobin in capillary or venous whole blood (K2 EDTA and Li-Heparin) in point-of-care settings.

The analyzer provides lab-quality results in under one second and offers user-friendly features like a large display and flexible connectivity options. The system uses larger, reagent-free cuvettes for better stability and easier handling. The analyzer also has built-in self-tests for quality control and requires no calibration.

The microcuvettes in the system are single-use microcuvettes made of polystyrene and are reagent-free. It also acts as both a pipette and a measuring tool for blood drawn. These cuvettes can maintain their stability for 30 months when opened and require a sample volume of only 10 µL.

The system measures hemoglobin levels for adults, adolescents, children, and infants over 1 month old and is designed for use in hospitals, public health, and ambulances, ensuring quick, reliable results even in challenging conditions.
